Since tomorrow will start the last year of my early twenties, I couldn’t help but remember some of the interesting adventures that I’ve encountered at 23. It’s been a fun, yet challenging year. Unlike last year, I’m happy about having another birthday. Twenty-three had many interesting adventures, but I’m glad to put it behind me.

My Pretty Shoes Are Calling Me

Due to the very supportive but immensely ugly and bulky ankle brace that I have to wear, I had to pull out an old pair of black chunky shoes to wear to work. I think they’re the last remenents of the chunky shoe period in my wardrobe.
Three or four years ago, these were very cute [...]
I’ve Got Nada

I have a confession. I’m a bad blogger. According to blogosphere experts, a good blog updates at least twice a week with interesting or newsworthy commentary. I’m pretty sure that I fail in all counts.
I say that because I noticed that it’s been a week since I updated last. In fact it took my mom [...]

Anyone Going to Homecoming?

And I don’t mean Berean! Most of you know the rules about me ever going back to homecoming there.
Last week, I got an official e-vite from UT about homecoming. I thought it was pretty cool that the PR department is staying up with trends. Homecoming is my absolute favorite game, so I’m hoping I’ll be [...]

As I write this, it’s 2 a.m. and I keep making typos. No, I’m not inebriated, just completely exhausted. I’ve been on my feet since 7:30 a.m. and absolutely haven’t stopped.
Beka and Dana’s day was absolutely perfect. The weather was gorgeous. Everyone looked incredible. The wedding ceremony was flawless and the reception was fun.
Some highlights:

The Wedding Nazi

Last night was Beka and Dana’s rehearsal dinner. After a year of planning the wedding is finally here. You’d think we all know exactly what to do, but since there are way too many details in a wedding to figure out, Beka hired a wedding coordinator.
Peggy, the coordinator, is in her later sixties, short with [...]
Rhonda Thurman’s Remarks

I was quite surprised when I ran across this article on Thurman’s alleged comments she made about Sandy Hughes, the HCEA president. I was at the Young Republicans meeting when she made them. What’s surprising is that this has become newsworthy while the school board is trying to scam Hamilton County taxpayers for $150,000.
