50 Cent made me crack up today when I read his comments about Bush being a gangsta. My question is, if Bush is a gangsta, does that make his supporters ones also?
Personally, I’ve always enjoyed 50 Cent much more than Kanye. Too many memories to “In ‘Da Club,” “21 Questions,” and “P.I.M.P.” from college. Also, [...]

I just got back from Hayden, AL (45 min. From Birmingham) where much of my dad’s family lives, and I’m exhausted!
This Thanksgiving was special because it looks like it’s going to be my grandfather’s last. While he’s looking better than when I saw him last week, he still has that cancer patient look about him [...]

Y Camp Is No More

Sadly, the YMCA of Greater Chattanooga auctioned off Camp Maclellan last week.
This was a wonderful asset for the Y that was never fully developed. It was at this property that I spent two years as a summer camp counselor and one summer as the arts & crafts/assistant director.
Although I long suspected that this would happen, [...]

Happy Homecoming

Sadly, I’m missing homecoming, my favorite UT game of the year. From the pre-game parade, Salute to the Hill, the Tennessee Walking Horse, the intense float competition, pomping 27/4 the week before and getting absolutely no sleep, homecoming is awesome!

Congrats Lore’ and Joel! Looks like we need to assemble a few Gamma Sigs for a rendition of “White Rose.” I’ll even risk lighting my candle that “shall never be lit again” from my torturous time as an officer in the sorority.
You better be the last friend to get married for a while! I can’t [...]

Up to this point, my travels have been limited to North America. I’ve been south of the border a few times and cruised around the Caribbean, but I’ve yet to make it out of this hemisphere, which is one of the top 5 things listed in Addy’s Goals for Her Life.
With grad school looming, I’d [...]

Fun Times

The birthday weekend extravaganza has come and gone and life has returned to some level of normalcy. Thank goodness!
The weekend was fantabulous! I got to spend some time with my family and much-missed dogs. Since I’ve been so busy the last few months, I’ve barely spent any time in Hixson. I’m pretty sure that Coco [...]
