Why is it when Chattanooga is in the news, it’s for something really, really strange. Crematorium scandals, a missing woman and now the infamous Karl Rove picture?
I have mixed feelings about this. It definitely falls under astroturfing, but it was an April Fool’s Day joke and the Coptix guys were just tired of dealing with the rumors. They do great stuff and most of them are really committed to redeveloping St. Elmo, my old neighborhood. While I don’t know any of them, they’re all friends of friends, so reputation wise, nothing malicious was intended.
Maybe they’ll get more business from this. Seriously, Coptix does fantastic work, and most of my favorite Chatt places are their clients. Ok, Waterhouse PR and the AEC Council (Missy Crutchfield) are shady, but that’s just inner PR world stuff. Their graphics are still fabulous.
