Earlier this week, Mrs. M e-mailed me asking what my 40 dedicated readers are probably asking:
i’m confused with your 45 blogs! what’s going on?
To which I replied:
patience grasshopper. i’ll do an official unveiling next week. i’m drowning in school work. for the time being, stick with girlfromthesouth.wordpress.com.
Aside from the obscure Patrick reference and our inability to use capital letters, there are upcoming changes here at Girl from the South central. This summer I took a New Media Practices and Techniques class and decided to redesign my blog and host it for my final project. It was due last week, but I’m still having issues with some of the coding, which is delaying the official release.
It’s also the main reason why I haven’t been posting. I learned this week that I can develop strategies around blogs, write blog entries, pitch blogs and promote blogs, but I struggle to create my own blog. Coding=left brain, and the left side of my brain barely functions.
But hang on there! Even more exciting blog news is coming.
The tech nerds in the SOC decided to put a blog together, which has a lot of potential and is really exciting. Check out Girls Gone Wired for a diverse perspective on women and technology. Raee and Elyzabethe at Yellow is the Color are also contributing, and we’re trying to push Erin Elizabeth to join us. She has yet to totally dork out with technology and reach the level of obsession of Raee and I.
