When I saw the NYT Caucus Blog today questioning why there are more men involved in online politics, I groaned, yet here I am writing about it.
It’s not enough that gender discussions surround us everywhere. Didn’t the Internet even things out? Look at the statistics. Both Pew and George Washington University found that not only [...]

Indoctrinate U: Funny but Scary

Tonight I made it to the DC premiere of Indoctrinate U at the Kennedy Center! It’s a really great documentary and much sharper than it’s predecessor, Brainwashing 101.
The level of entrenched liberal groupthink at our universities is staggering. It’s so shocking that we don’t even realize that something is wrong until we see this film. [...]
Support the Rabid

Earlier this week, I was psyched to find The Office memorabilia in Target’s $1 Spot. The roomie and I loaded up on Dunder Mifflin magnetic poetry, note pads and pens.
Now they have Support the Rabid wristbands and t-shirts. Is a Schrute Beet Farm t-shirt worth $26?
So happy The Office is back on TV! This year, [...]
Open Thread: The Freedom to Text?

UPDATE: Verizon has reversed their decision and will allow NARAL to carry out their campaign.
Thanks to NARAL, we now know that texting isn’t considered free speech. While I’m not sad to see a pro-choice group take a few knocks, this has repercussions for everyone.
The US is far behind Europe with our cell phone technology, so [...]
Smokey and the Bandit: Now Bootlegging Cigarettes

I’m not sure if I should be more shocked that the state of Tennessee is watching residents who cross the border to buy cigarettes, or the fact that Stacey Campfield is quoted in an article that is posted on Drudge. I’m simultaneously creeped out by my home state and laughing.
I know that Tennessee is always [...]
This Explains Iranian Fashions

And I was thinking that women dressed this way because of Islamic laws. According to the “world’s hottest dictator,” Iran has no one to drive their fashion industry.
Now I understand those bizarre swimsuits.
I really wish this guy would stop by the Holocaust Museum. They should bring back the room of hair for people like him.

As I mentioned earlier, I’m dog-sitting for a few days this week. Sunday night, I realized that I only packed a complete outfit for Monday. I had a grey shirt with no pants and a blue skirt with no shirt. (Yeah, I’m special that way.) This left me with several options:
a) Call my roommate and [...]
New Favorite Neighborhood

This week I’m dog-sitting in Alexandria. Why didn’t anyone tell me how great the Del Ray/Old Town part of NOVA was?
I disliked urban living in NW last year, and now I’m getting tired of spending at least 2 hours a day on the Metro commuting from my Maryland suburb. I didn’t think it was possible [...]

Since I met my best friend Beka in the sixth grade, she’s wanted to work in the ministry. Throughout all our years at Berean and beyond, she trained to work in the children’s ministry and has an incredible rapport with kids.
Then she started dating Dana, and it was amazing to see God bring two people [...]
